4. Inside the car you will need to locate and undo the throttle
pedals 10mm bolts. BUT BE CAREFULL
These bolts shear very easily, so I recommend you spray penetrating
oil on them,
the back of the bolts can be found exposed in the wheel arch (this
is why they shear).
10 . Assemble the new cable by removing the brass screw end and
removing the cable itself.
Then remove the rubber nub from the old adjuster and slide it onto
the new adjuster.
Slide the cable back through until it comes out of the mount then
slide
it through the rubber pedal bush.
Before refitting the brass end make sure and put the washer supplied
(but not pictured),
where the red arrow in the picture is.
1 . Refit the brass screw end lightly as it will need to be adjusted
and you don't want to damage
the cable.
2. Make sure the throttle body end is adjusted right in so you have
enough slack.
3. On the pedal end you should have some slack, you now need to
undo the brass screw end
and slide it up the cable and tighten fully to take up the slack
and secure the cable.
4. Back at the throttle body end, feel for any remaining slack in
the cable and if there is any,
wind the cable adjuster out until the slack is taken up.
5. Start the car and make sure it idles ok, and is able to get the
full range of motion.
